The Highlands at Langley and was revised in 2009 for all Island County residents. This guide offers tips and recommendations for how to care for your yard and maintain your home in ways that protect water resources, how to manage runoff on your property, and much more.

Rain Water Collection: Use It or Lose It
This brochure shows how to collect rain water, including how much water to expect, when and where to use it, and how to make and maintain a rain barrel. It also offers information on cisterns for storing large volumes of water, the health concerns when using it, and when you might need permits or assistance with the setup.
